PLANT FLOOR INTELLIGENCE SYSTEMS

Continuous improvement of business operations is essential to the ongoing success of every company and no where is there greater room for such improvement then by providing decision makers with valuable real-time plant information. HUMAN-MACHINE INTERFACES (HMI)

Using HMI/SCADA software, such as GE Fanuc Automation® Proficy™ HMI/SCADA-iFIX (formerly known as "Intellution® iFIX™"), to grab real-time snapshots of temperature, pressure, flow rate, position, speed, weight, and contact closure, our customers monitor the plant floor ("process visualization") and acquire data for reporting and analysis.

ASG has developed report generation, data archiving and user interface tools to enhance the productivity of HMI software. These tools identify trends and help to remedy small anomalies before they become the big problems that shut down or idle a production line.

ASG is also experienced in customizing standard HMI packages, providing custom interfaces through programming tools such as Visual BASIC and VBA,  and converting HMI configurations from many of the leading suppliers (such as Wonderware® InTouch™), along with older generations and versions of Intellution’s (now "GE Fanuc Automation®") HMI/SCADA software (such as FIX32™, FIX/DMACS™, iFIX™) family, to the GE Fanuc Automation® Proficy™ family of Automation and Production software.

PLANT DATA REMOTE ACCESS

Using and acting on plant data often requires that data be accessible to key personnel wherever they may be and not just in the control room.  Advances in web-based, wireless, and computer telephony technologies make it possible to deliver important plant information to those that need it over phone, pager, cell phone, PDA, Tablet PC, email, and web browsers.

ASG can provide you process visualization using thin-client and terminal server technology (such as GE Fanuc Automation Proficy™ iClientTS™), alarm notification over phone or email (such as Specter Instruments Win911™ alarm notification system), or plant information analysis over the internet (such as GE Fanuc Automation Proficy™ Real Time Information Portal)

PILOT PROJECTS AND QUICK INSTALLS

If you’re considering using a pilot project to prove out technology or to evaluate return on future investment in automation, ASG can deliver a representative functioning system at a low price with low risk. ASG uses its expertise with GE Fanuc Automation Proficy Automation and Production software to give you a head start on your automation project by delivering a small pilot to assist you in proving out technology and payback for your application.

POST-DEPLOYMENT SERVICES

ASG understands that the investment in any automation or plant intelligence system can be substantial and the expectations of ongoing return on investment are high. To this end, ASG provides its clients with a range of post-deployment services to maintain optimal performance of any system or to enhance its functionality to adapt to new manufacturing challenges not foreseen during the original deployment.

These services include scheduled “check-ups” of system integrity and performance, system backups and recovery, and on-site application assistance. Directly or through partnerships with industry leading educators, we can also provide training and e-Education (product and/or application specific continuing education and skill gap analysis using a web browser over the internet or a client’s intranet),
